Check out Billy Joel’s Fender anodized gold tremolo cover with secret engravings dyed black of President JFK and Beethoven in the scene. Boxing has a deep meaning to Billy Joel. He was bullied as a kid and learned to box to defend himself. He has a great respect for the sport. I hope you all can see JFK and Beethoven hiding in the piece! I chose these two iconic figures of history because JFK stood for equal rights and placed laws to end segregation and Billy mentioned JFK in “We Didn’t Start The Fire”. Billy’s song “The Night” where he used the basis of the song’s chorus second movement of Beethoven’s Pathetique Sonata. Beethoven is credited as one of the song’s writers on the sleeve of the album as “L.v. Beethoven”. The song, released as a single only in the UK and Japan, reached 78 on the UK Singles Chart and 88 on the Japanese Oricon Singles Chart. In the United States, “This Night” was the B-side of “Leave a Tender Moment Alone”. Take a look at all the pics!!
