This was one of the most fun projects I did with my friend singer/songwriter Matt Cook on his Fender Stratocaster! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is still one of my favorite cartoons! Growing up, my brother Timmy and I played with the TMNT toys and even the Nintendo video game. The pickguard is made of 2024 alloy aircraft aluminum anodized turtle green! The engraving was hand traced. I delicately cut through the green top color down to the natural grey aluminum underneath. Shredder is always watching and waiting on top of the bridge pickup ready to strike against the turtles that are posing confidently like at the end of an episode after saving the day. Take a look at all the detail, it was a lot of artistic suffering. Also, I engraved Matt Cook’s name in the sewer lid. Matt’s favorite character is Raphael and Raph wears red matching the pickup covers and knobs! Take a look at all the pics!
